명사적 용법 — 주어·목적어·보어

가주어 it ~ to 구문

It + be + 형용사/명사 + (for/of + 사람) + to부정사
의미상 주어조건예
for + 사람일반 형용사It is easy for me to understand.
of + 사람사람 평가 형용사It is kind of you to help.
of + 사람 형용사: kind, stupid, rude, clever, wise, foolish, careless

형용사적 용법 — 명사 수식

한국어는 명사 앞("해야 할 숙제"), 영어는 명사 뒤에서 수식.
I have homework to do.해야 할 숙제

부사적 용법 — 4가지 의미

의문사 + to부정사

특수 형태 — 부정·완료·수동
